Your first journey
Your first minutes set up the rest of your adventure: learn your equipment, choose a fighting style and find your way home.
Create an account, download the complete client from the Downloads page and extract the archive.
For an older installation, close the game and launcher and extract the launcher update from the Downloads page into your client folder once. Then use Darkeden Raohm.exe for future updates.
Open Darkeden Raohm.exe. Choose UPDATE when offered, or START when your client is ready. The launcher verifies and installs official updates before starting the game.
Select Raohm World and Raohm Channel. Create a Slayer or Vampire and begin with the basic equipment provided by the server.
Choose your race
Slayers develop combat domains. Vampires advance through their racial level and a different set of powers. Choose the style you want to play; both have their own starting area and equipment.
Before your first fight
Open your inventory with Tab and your equipment with Ctrl+Tab. Read the requirements of each item and place it in the matching slot. Keep healing supplies within reach and leave room for loot.
Learn your surroundings
Use Ctrl+M to show the minimap. Notice the map name and X/Y coordinates before leaving your starting area. The atlas below the World and maps guide shows the classic locations and makes it easier to recognize them.
Build a simple routine
Try one opponent at a time while learning. Watch your HP, check the skill you have selected and return to resupply before your resources run out. A steady hunting route is more useful than rushing into an unfamiliar dungeon.
